ABOUT OUR FLARES
Alfresco Gas Flares are subject to stringent testing in order to align with Australian Gas Association standards. All flares are built and certified by our team's gas fitter who has over 30+ year's experience.
Our decorative gas flares are available in several colours with the option of matching or contrasting poles, allowing them to fit seamlessly into their environment. They are designed with features to ensure customer convenience, satisfaction and safety while operating:
-
Each burner is designed with 2x3mm primary air ports for correct air and gas mixture, producing a bright-yellow luminescent flame.
-
Units are fitted with a flame failure device which will cut off gas supply, should the flame be extinguished.
-
Flames are resistant against extinguishing, due to the outer shield of the metal flare heads. When strong winds pick up, the flame is forced down, still continuing to burn inside the flare head until the wind subsides and the flame can readjust to its regular height.
-
Gas consumption is minimised due to a flame detector at the top of the burner, which forces the flame out horizontally in all directions within the cone. Additionally, a self induced draft drives the flame in an upwards direction, thus making the flame wider and higher, with no increase in gas supply.
-
The option of piezo ignition allows the burner to ignite with the touch of a button.
-
The addition of primary airports at the base of the burner allows for those using manual ignition, to light from the base of the flare through them.
*PLEASE NOTE*
The materials used to make the flares are durable, however, please bear in mind when purchasing, that materials such as copper and bronze are naturally prone to tarnishing. Due to a combination of heat, moisture and natural oxygenation, colours of the flares may change over time. Here at Alfresco HQ, all flares are polished thoroughly before dispatch, but it is important to note that chemical reactions will occur naturally over the course of time.
It is important, particularly when handling copper and bronze flares, to note that oils from hands and skin etc can leave marks on the surface of the materials. As a result we suggest using gloves or a gentle fibred cloth to handle the flares, to avoid leaving any smears on the exteriors of the flares.
It is recommended that flares receive periodical maintenance after installation. Alfresco Gas Flares are manufactured using low maintenance components, however removal of soot build-up on the flame probe may be required, using a soft brush or rag.
During extended periods of in-activity, leaves and other foreign matter may build up inside the flare. Built up debris should be removed before operation.
